Founded by Dr. Tamara Murphy and her family in 2022, Growls & Meows Veterinary Clinic Is a Dedicated Team of Pet Loving Groomers and Veterinary Staff, Based in Cisne, Illinois
Meet Dr. Tamara Murphy, DVM!
Dr. Tamara Murphy was born in upstate New York before moving back to Cisne, Illinois when she was 18 months old. She received both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from the University of Illinois in Champaign. From a young age Dr. Murphy has always had a deep love for animals and wanted a career involving pets. Tamara joined Hawthorne Animal Clinic after graduating from veterinary school in 2017. In 2022 Dr. Murphy opened her own practice, Growls & Meows Veterinary Clinic after practicing for four and a half years. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with her cats Inara, Binx, Liv, and Chonk and her dogs Ivy, Cinder, and Rudy.

Vet Assistants
Cheyenne has had lots of experience working with pets to make sure they get the best care possible.
Nichole loves caring for hospitalized animals by making them as happy and comfortable as she can!
Sharilyn loves working with animals and assisting in all interesting cases with Doctor Murphy!
Lexi is enjoying her summer home from school and getting some experience in the clinic. She is working on getting her Vet tech degree from Murray Kentucky University.
Linda works to help clean, organize and assist wherever she is needed at the clinic. She loves animals and wants to become a Vet Tech!
Eliah is a member of the Growls and Meows Vet Clinic staff! She has a deep love for all animals and loves to bring her dog Daisy to work with her!
Groomers
Linda is an experienced groomer and recently began working in the veterinary setting with Dr. Murphy. Her favorite part of her job is getting to see happy wagging tails.
Cheyenne has experience in both grooming and veterinary settings, she provides a safe, low-stress experience for every pet that visits her. At home she has many animals of her own.
Tammy has always had a deep love for dogs and enjoys grooming all the different breeds that come in! She enjoys the creative process of grooming. Outside of the clinic she is either spending time with her family or designing and creating.
Taylor enjoys grooming and caring for all the dogs that come see her! At home she enjoys spending time with her cats.
Ashley loves helping dogs feel clean and cared for. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her kids and beagle, Waylon.
Grooming and Kennel Assistants
Katlyn has always wanted to work around animals and loves to help the groomers and in the kennels. She currently is trying to decide what she wants to do after High School!
Mary has always wanted to work around animals and loves to help the groomers and in the kennels. She loves learning skills with dogs!
RaeAnn has always loved animals and she enjoys working with them! This job increases her desire to work with animals in the future.
Tyler loves to work with the animals in the kennels! He is always taking his time with each animal to make sure they all get some love and playtime in!
Larisa has a deep love for all animals! She wants to become a vet one day. She makes sure the animals always have a clean room to stay in so they are relaxed and enjoy their stay.
Desiree loves animals of all kinds. She is passionate about caring for each and every one that comes to visit!
Rose is a kennel assistant and loves spending time with all the animals!
Ryan loves to work with the animals in the kennels! He is always taking his time with each animal to make sure they all get some love and playtime in!
Debbie
Debbie works overnight to keep a watchful eye on all the animals boarding and being hospitalized on the vet side.
Receptionists
Melissa loves helping clients and is excited to be using her Executive Office Professional Degree in her day to day work.
Carol loves dealing with the public and being in a fun work environment. She loves learning new skills with the computer system and learning new things about all the animals she checks in at the front desk.
Brianna loves getting to see all the animals while working up front and keeping up with our social media pages!
Maddie is a team member with many skills. While she enjoys working up front, she is also an experienced groomer!
Bookkeeping
Jana has worked in bookkeeping for many years and loves it! She loves being around all the animals and making sure the clinic runs smooth financially.
Judy has worked here for many years and has a deep love for all animals, especially all of her kitty cats at home. She loves bookkeeping and has worked in the field for many years!
